What is a PMHNP?
A psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner is an advanced practice nurse trained to assess and treat mental health conditions, including medication management within their authorized scope.
Will virtual appointments be available?
Yes. NXT Minds is preparing to offer telehealth for patients located in Louisiana. A launch date, eligible age groups, and a secure scheduling link will be shared before booking opens.
Do you accept insurance?
The practice plans to offer private-pay care and pursue insurance participation. Accepted plans and self-pay rates have not yet been confirmed. Please check with the practice before scheduling; no insurance network participation is currently advertised.
How should I prepare for a first visit?
Consider your concerns and goals. Have your medication list and relevant health history available, and write down any questions you would like to discuss.
